Matters in Brightflag are owned and controlled by your client. What you can do as a vendor depends entirely on the settings your client has enabled.
Before trying to add or edit a Matter, it’s important to understand which of the following options applies to your account.
🔄 How Matters Are Added in Brightflag
There are three possible scenarios:

| Add Matter button | Your client allows vendors to create Matters | You can create the Matter directly |
| Request Matter button | Your client requires approval | Submit a Matter request for approval |
| No Add or Request option | Matter creation is restricted | Contact your client to create and share the Matter |
🚫 Brightflag Support cannot create or request Matters on your behalf.

- Matter availability and permissions differ by client
- Not all vendors can create or request Matters
- Access to one client does not guarantee the same access to another
