How Matter Creation & Requests Work

Matters in Brightflag are owned and controlled by your client. What you can do as a vendor depends entirely on the settings your client has enabled.

Before trying to add or edit a Matter, it’s important to understand which of the following options applies to your account.


🔄 How Matters Are Added in Brightflag

There are three possible scenarios:

What You See in Brightflag What It Means What You Should Do
Add Matter button Your client allows vendors to create Matters You can create the Matter directly
Request Matter button Your client requires approval Submit a Matter request for approval
No Add or Request option Matter creation is restricted Contact your client to create and share the Matter

🚫 Brightflag Support cannot create or request Matters on your behalf.


📌 Important Things to Know

  • Matter availability and permissions differ by client
  • Not all vendors can create or request Matters
  • Access to one client does not guarantee the same access to another
