Error Submitting Timekeeper Rates

When uploading timekeeper (TK) rates to Brightflag, vendors now benefit from improved error handling and feedback - making submissions smoother and clearer.

✅ What Happens When You Submit

When a vendor uploads a TK rates file:

  • All valid rows are submitted immediately.

  • Rows with cell-level errors are skipped, and details are provided in a downloadable error spreadsheet.

  • File-level errors (e.g., missing required columns) prevent submission altogether and must be corrected before retrying.

🚫 Cell-Level Errors: How They're Handled

If individual cells contain issues (like invalid formatting or missing required data):

  • The system processes all valid rows.

  • Rows with errors are excluded and listed in an error spreadsheet you can download directly from the modal.

  • Inside the spreadsheet:

    • Cells with problems are highlighted in red.

    • The last column shows the specific error reason for each problematic row.

You can correct errors directly in this file.

Tip: You can re-upload the same file after fixing the issues. The system ignores the error reason column, so you don't need to delete it.

📁 File-Level Errors: Submission Blockers

Some structural issues prevent any part of the file from being processed:

  • Missing required columns

  • Incorrect file format

  • Corrupted or unsupported files

If your file has these issues:

  • You'll see error messages in the upload modal.

  • The system does not process any part of the file.

  • You'll need to fix and re-upload the entire sheet.
