What This Error Means

If you receive the following error when submitting a new matter request:

json

{"index":,"message":"There was an issue processing the data in the server in this row: "}

It indicates a formatting issue in specific row of your submission, specifically in the Internal Matter Lead field.

Cause of the Error

This error is triggered when the Internal Matter Lead field is completed incorrectly. The system only accepts:

A valid email address

  • Incorrect: Jane Doe, Legal Contact, J.D.

How to Resolve the Error

  1. Open your matter request form.

  2. Scroll to the row with the error (as mentioned in the error).

  3. Find the Internal Matter Lead field.

  4. Replace the existing entry with the correct email address of the internal lead.

  5. Resubmit the request.

Don’t Know the Internal Matter Lead's Email?

If you are unsure of the appropriate email address to use:

  • Contact your client directly to confirm the correct contact.

  • Please note: Brightflag Support does not have access to internal client contact details and cannot advise on the correct Internal Matter Lead.

Additional Notes

  • This validation ensures the request is routed to the appropriate person within the client’s organization for approval.

  • Submitting the correct format helps avoid processing delays or rejections.
