When submitting invoices, it is essential to use the UTBMS (Uniform Task-Based Management System) codes. These codes help categorize legal services and expenses, ensuring accurate billing and tracking.

UTBMS Codes in Invoice Submission: LEDES Requirements
In alignment with the LEDES (Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard), please ensure that the following fields are correctly populated when submitting invoices:
1. LINE_ITEM_TASK_CODE

This field should include the task code from the UTBMS code set. Most expense items will not have aLINE_ITEM_TASK_CODE
, in which case this field should be left null.- Note: Task codes may be used without Activity Codes, but Activity Codes should not be used without Task Codes. The requirement for using this field is determined by the receiving client.
2. LINE_ITEM_EXPENSE_CODE
