Overview of the Issue
Issue:
You are trying to upload a file but see this error message:
π BF104 - "Insecure content."
This means the file has something in it that Brightflag does not accept, such as symbols or coding elements that arenβt supported.
πΉ Why Is This Happening?
The system may block your file if it contains:
β Code-like symbols, such as <html>
, <data>
, or { }
.
β Unusual characters that Brightflag does not recognize.
β Formatting issues that make the system think the file is unsafe.
πΉ How to Fix BF104 - "Insecure Content"
Step 1: Check Your File for Problematic Content
β Open the file using a basic program like Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac).
β Look for any symbols like <
, >
, {
, or }
. These are often found in coding languages and should not be in your invoice file.
β Delete any strange-looking text or symbols and save the file again.
π‘ Tip: To quickly find these characters, press Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac) and type <
, >
, {
, or }
in the search bar.
Step 2: Try Uploading the File Again
β Once you have removed any extra symbols or code-like text, upload the file again.
β The system should now accept the file without showing the BF104 error.
πΉ What If You Also See BF111 - "No Invoices Uploaded"?
π Good news! Fixing BF104 usually fixes BF111 as well. If your invoice wonβt upload, double-check your file for extra symbols, correct it, and try again.
