Matter is Closed, but I Need to Upload an Invoice

❓ Can I Upload an Invoice to a Closed Matter?

No. Invoices cannot be uploaded to closed Matters in Brightflag.


❓ Can Vendors Reopen Matters Themselves?

No. Vendors cannot reopen Matters.
Only the client can change a Matter’s status.


❓ What Should I Do If the Matter Is Closed?

Contact your client and ask them to either:

  • Reopen the existing Matter, or

  • Create a new Matter and share it with your firm

  • ❌ Brightflag Support cannot reopen closed Matters

  • ✔ Only the client can change a Matter’s status
