📌 Invoices cannot be uploaded to closed Matters in Brightflag. If you need to submit an invoice to a closed matter, you must contact your client to resolve the issue.
Why is the Matter Closed?
Your client manages all Matter settings in Brightflag. A Matter may be closed due to:
✔ Completion of work
✔ Changes in scope
🚨 Brightflag cannot reopen or modify a closed Matter - only your client can.
How to Resolve This Issue
1️⃣ Confirm the Matter Status
✔ Navigate to Menu > Matters > View Matters.
✔ Search for the Matter and check its status.
✔ If it is closed or archived, it will not accept new invoices.
2️⃣ Contact Your Client
✔ Request the Matter to be reopened if further work is needed or if you have an outstanding invoice.
✔ If reopening is not possible, ask if they have created a new Matter where you can submit the invoice.
Next Steps After Contacting Your Client
✔ If the client reopens the Matter, you can upload your invoice once the status is updated.
✔ If a new Matter is created, confirm the correct Matter details before submitting your invoice.
