How to Add a Colleague to Brightflag

As a Vendor Admin or Office Admin, you can add new users to your account. This article will guide you through the process step-by-step to ensure that your colleagues can access the platform smoothly.


Steps to Add a New User

  1. Navigate to Menu > My Firm.

    • Access this section from the main menu to manage your office users.
  2. Check Existing Users:

    At the bottom of the page, there’s a section labeled "[Your Office Name] Users".

    • Ensure your colleague isn't already listed in this section. You will only see users associated with the office you are currently viewing.
  3. Click on Add New User:

    • Locate the button to add a new user, and click to begin the process.
  4. Enter User Details:

    • Fill in the necessary information, such as the user's name, email, and role within your office.

    • Once complete, click Create.

  5. Email Invitation:

    • Your colleague will receive an automated email from Brightflag with a link to log in.

    • Tip: If the email doesn’t appear in their inbox, please advise them to check their spam or junk folder.

Add a User from Another Office

You cannot assign a vendor user to multiple offices if they are already assigned to a specific office. Only a Vendor Admin has access to manage more than one office in Brightflag.

 


Troubleshooting Tips

If the new user does not receive the login email, please ensure their email address is entered correctly. Also, confirm that the email hasn’t been caught by spam filters.


Common Issues

Issue Solution
User not receiving the login email Ensure the email is spelt correctly and advise the user to check their spam/junk folder.
Can't find the ‘Add New User’ button Make sure you have admin rights for your office and are viewing the correct office within the My Firm section.
User already exists but can't access Check if the user is associated with the correct office. If they are, advise them to reset their password using the 'Forgot Password' link.
