Which LEDES Files Are Accepted by Brightflag?

Overview

Brightflag supports two LEDES invoice formats:

• LEDES 1998B

• LEDES 98BI (Version 2 required by some clients)

While Brightflag can technically accept both formats, your client ultimately controls which LEDES format you are allowed to submit. Some clients restrict submissions to LEDES 98BI V2 only due to tax or purchase order reporting requirements.

• If you submit a LEDES 1998B invoice when 98BI V2 is required, Brightflag will display an error indicating that LEDES 98BI V2 must be used

• Brightflag cannot override client-configured format restrictions
