This article covers common issues with submitting accruals and viewing accruals in Brightflag, including missed deadlines, visibility issues, and office access problems. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot these issues.


The Submission Deadline Has Passed

Description:
Deadlines for submitting accruals are set by your clients. You will receive two reminders about upcoming deadlines:

  • Reminder 1: 5 days before the deadline
  • Reminder 2: On the deadline day

What to do:
If you've missed the deadline:

  1. Contact your client directly to inquire about submitting late accruals.
  2. Note: Brightflag Support cannot process late submissions.

Tip: Deadlines may differ if you work with multiple clients, so always check for client-specific deadlines.


Accruals Not Visible

Description:
If you can't see the accruals section in Brightflag, it is likely because you need access to the relevant matters. Access permissions depend on your user role:

User Role Accrual Access
Vendor Admin Users Access all matters across all offices.
Vendor Office Admin Users Access matters within their specific office.
Standard Users Access only the matters they are assigned to.

What to check:

  1. Confirm your user role in Brightflag.
  2. If necessary, ask your vendor admin to review your permissions.

Warning: You may need to request additional access from your admin if you're unable to view certain matters.


Not Accessing the Correct Office

Description:
Matters are assigned to specific offices, and you must be viewing the correct office in Brightflag to see relevant accruals.

How to resolve:

  1. In Brightflag, verify that you're viewing the correct office.
  2. Switch to the appropriate office if necessary.

Note: You can only access matters assigned to the office you’re currently viewing.


Submission Error

Description:
Errors may occur when submitting accruals, particularly during bulk submissions.
