How to Convert a LEDES File to Excel Format

Open Excel and select a blank sheet.

Copy and paste the LEDES TEXT into the file.

Highlight a single column of data, go to Data, and select Text to Column.

Select Delimited and click Next.
​
​

Check Other and enter a pipe character | (you can type this by pressing Shift + \) in the text box provided.

Click Finish.
